Blackberry Basil Sangria

This cocktail is a lower sugar/lower calorie option to traditional sangria you would find out and about. Using only fresh fruit, herbs and flavored sparkling water, you can get tons of flavor and not feel guilty sipping this by the pool!


  • 1 bottle of red wine (Pinot Noir works well)
  • SpinDrift Blackberry seltzer water
  • 2 cup fresh blackberries
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • 1 heaping tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or coconut sugar (adjust to desired sweetness)
  • Ice cubes to serve



In a blender, puree blackberries, lemon juice, basil, and honey until well mixed.

Strain puree through a fine mesh strainer to remove pulp and seeds if needed

Pour bottle of wine into a pitcher

Add puree to a pitcher of wine an stir to mix

Pour wine mixture into glasses and top each with desired amount of Spindrift Blackberry Sparkling Water (3/4 wine mixture, 1/4 Spindrift is a good ratio)
